Covers split on spine but still holding due to staple (may have been produced like this?), paper browned throughout, tears and chipped to right edge throughout but mainly to covers, 2 vertical fold marks throughout. "Daily Worker library" ink stamp to right side of front cover, left top corner of front cover and top right corner of first page. No date of publicaion but possibly around mid 1940's.

He served for a time as refuge manager for the US Biological Survey at the Okefenokee. In the 1920's and 30's Greene kept detailed notes on bird observations in the Atlanta Georgia area. From these note he published "Birds of the Atlanta, Georgia, Area", one of the first annotated bird checklists for the state, and was co-author of the first formal checklist for Georgia birds, published in 1945.
