Hardcover. Condition: Very good. Dust Jacket Condition: very good. First Edition (?). Oblong octavo, [26]pp. Publication date taken from OCLC. A slightly shaken very good copy, still crisp and clean, in the publisher's printed boards. In the rare dust jacket, price-clipped, with some small chips and small tape repairs to verso; despite its flaws, still mercifully present; very good. An arrestingly modern and attractive little children's book about Jeeps. The story centers on the title character, a Jeep who is "a very pretty Jeep indeed, because instead of being green like all the others, she was PINK." She is treated by the other Jeeps as an outcast due to her unusual hue, and it's only once all the Jeeps are shipped off to Italy to fight in the war that she proves her worthiness. After an array of her green peers try to remove a downed tree blocking a military route, Jenny gives it a shot and saves the day. The war ends, and she is sold to an Italian ice cream salesman. The book is scarce, as we count just nine holdings in OCLC. Presumably quite rare in dust jacket. A delightful children's book, with excellent illustrations, and which has appeal both to Jeep enthusiasts and children's books with strong female protagonists.
