Some edge wear and creasing to top and bottom of largely silver jacket and spine, corners bruised and rubbed, not price clipped ($10.95), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overal…l a vg+ copy for its age. 255pp. When an old friend goes missing under unusual circumstances, (being kidnapped by a pair of nuns is pretty unusual!) Modesty Blaise and Willy go looking. The nuns had better watch out! Peter O'Donnell (1920-2010), was a British writer of mysteries and of comic strips, best known as the creator, with the artist Jim Holdaway, of Modesty Blaise, his dashing action comic strip heroine. Modesty Blaise debuted in the London Evening Standard on 13th May 1963 and the strip was syndicated among a large number of newspapers. It finally came to an end on 11th April 2001. Quite a scarce book. Jacket and illustrations by Enrique Romero (illustrator).
