ROYAL BLUE CLOTH WITH GILt. frontispiece, illustrated. Graves (1852-1933) was a prominent resident of Los Angeles and president of the Farmers & Merchants National Bank for twelve years. He wrote My Seventy Years in California and California Memories. He was a member of the executive committee of the Los Angeles Clearing House Association for over twenty years and was its president in 1907. These are his personal recollections of trips , travels etc within the state at a time when the state was rapidly growing. "externally very very good, name and name stamp inside, some foxing spots, usually opposite an illustration, otherwise clean and tight" BX38 and BB1.

After 1904, the volume centers on his work as vice president and president of the Farmers & Merchants Bank, and interest in the citrus and petroleum industries.
