He wrote My Seventy Years in California and California Memories. He was a member of the executive committee of the Los Angeles Clearing House Association for over twenty years and was its president in 1907. These are his personal recollections of trips , travels etc within the state at a time when the state was rapidly growing. "externally very very good, name and name stamp inside, some foxing spots, usually opposite an illustration, otherwise clean and tight" BX38 and BB1.
