Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Big game shooting in India from the 1950s until hunting was banned in India in 1973. The author who served in the military enjoyed big game hunting in all areas where he was posted, especially in Tripura, in Assam state, north east India where he bagged numerous crocodiles, tigers, leopards (or panthers as they are known in India),Wild Boars and rogue elephants. This book might have written years before it was published, as the author writes about the rifles to be used and hints for new hunters in India etc, also the copy right was attributed to the 'state' of the author in 1981. I think the book is very rare as it is not listed anywhere else as of this posting. Illustrated with 26 pages of b/w photographs, bound in red cloth and comes with the original dust jacket in very good condition. DJ has a tiny chip at the bottom front.A very nice, one of a kind collectors item for your Asian Hunting Library.
