Spanning from ancient history to the time of Spanish conquest, this book offers a riveting journey through the rise and fall of the Aztec and Mayan city of Tollan. The author weaves together archaeological discoveries with mythic tales and historical accounts to paint a vivid tapestry of this once-great civilization. This book delves into the grandeur of Tollan, its complex social structure, and the reign of Quetzal, a revered king who attempted to reform the city's decadent ways. Through the lens of a compelling cast of characters, including a wise oracle, a cunning prince, and a fearless warrior, the author explores themes of leadership, ambition, and the struggle between light and darkness. As the glory of Tollan wanes under the rule of the treacherous Tezca, this book delves into the cycle of societal decline, the dangers of unchecked ambition, and the resilience of the human spirit. Ultimately, it leaves us with a profound reflection on the transient nature of power and the enduring legacy of a civilization lost to time. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
