Printed by the editors, Cambridge and Cheltenham, January 1968, edition of 500 copies; 160 x 197mm, pp44 plus black and white cover designed by John James and printed on coated card; text in typescript on gold paper, stab stitched, and with an errata slip titled "Gross Errors" pasted in at the back; staples slightly rusted but otherwise a good to very good copy of this now scarce publication. . . . The second series of this innovative small magazine of modern poetry was intended to be published "as and when the material is ready" at a cost of 3/- per issue or a bulk advance rate of 10/- for all four intended. In the event all four did appear, 2R4 being published just over a year later in February 1969 . . . . The series is dedicated to Charles Tomlinson for his earlier help. . . . Prynne's poems are "First Notes on Daylight", "Acquisition of Love", "Quality in that Case as Pressure", and, "Senor Vazquez speakng and further soft Music to Eaty by". All of these titles had their first printing in The English Intelligencer the previous year, their appearance in Resuscitator being their second public outing. . .
