Full leather with raised bands, gold impressing on spines. Most spine ends chipped except for vol. 5 which is only a little torn. Most corners worn. Some cracking of leather at hinges. Gold is wearing off lower spine labels. Vol. 2 has dark marks on front board. Bookplates for Baron Northwick on front pastedowns. Slight foxing and occasional thumbing. Endpapers darkened. Vol. 1 has small worm holes extending through to page 95. Small holes in margin of 219. Chips from 393, 433. Vol. 3 has chip in 369. Vol. 4 has black marks on p. 26, small tear in 27. Vol. 5 has chip from 107, tear in 129, some dog ears from 295 to 324. Vol. 6 chip in 313. Denina (1731-1813) was a writer, scholar and historian whose reputation rests mainly upon this history.
