Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. A very good reading copy in a very good mylar protected DJ. Stated 1st edition with no additional printings listed. An ex-library copy with the usual stamps and markings. Checkout pocket removed from front pastedown now covered. DJ has a closed tear, wrinkling, and slight discoloration to the bottom of the back panel. DJ spine has some slight fading and a few small scraped spots where a tag was removed, Overall, this is still, a nice solid reading copy with tight binding and clean pages. The author was a close friend of Conrad and his wife and he translated many of Conrad's novels. He inherited Conrad's personal papers and labored 23 years in the preparation of this book. 8vo; 321 pages.
