ILLUSTRATED in full-page, black-and-white photographic reproduction of Talcott's paintings with accompanying descriptive captions. From Jeffrey W. Cooley's introducton: "Locating hitherto unknown works by notable artists is always exciting; it is especially so when the artist, like Talcott, dies at a tragically early stage of his life and career. This group of landscape panels and the French street scene were rescued from Talcott's widow's basement after the flood of 1938 where they presumably had sat since his death in 1908. Since 1938, stacked in a box along with numerous unpainted panels, they had again been in storage until this past winter when they came to our attention." 16 pages. GI2.
