Laid in with the script is a brief letter from screenwriter Joe Sprosty to actor Johnny Crawford, who played Mark McCain in the original television series, introducing the script, along with a brief trailer concept sheet. With manuscript ink annotations to the title page, noting Sprosty's contact information. Based on the classic 1958-1963 Western television series starring Chuck Connors and Johnny Crawford, about a widowed father and Union Civil War veteran raising his young son in the fictitious town of North Fork, New Mexico Territory.
