Two narratives by one of the boatsteerers and the sailing master of the Australian brig Minerva on a sperm whaling voyage. Twyning lived for 20 years in the Islands and returned to England after the death of his wife from Horn Island (Futuna). Only two copies of the original are known to be held in Australia.
