Paperback. Condition: Good. 4p, folded twice. A mid-19th century newspaper in good condition for its age. Edges lightly worn, central fold splitting, and paper foxed. Small hole torn in the "u" in "Journal" at the top of the front page. Otherwise unmarked and complete. Boston newspaper from 1849 with articles on the efforts to locate Sir John Franklin's lost expedition to the Arctic; an amusing anecdote of a runaway bridegroom at a local church; a steamship explosion in New Orleans; and lots of interesting old advertisements.
