A frontispiece of The Gloster 'Gauntlet' fighter plane by Stanley Orton Bradshaw, as well as three other colour illustrations, four monochrome illustrations, and numerous woodcut illustrations by both Bradshaw and Leigh. Collated complete.Most famous for creating fighter hero 'Biggles', W.E. Johns has teamed up with Rochester and Hansboro to offer more daring adventures inspired by their service during the First World War. Alongside Leigh and Bradswhaw's illustrations, the tales are brilliant for portraying the brave actions of aces, as well as the life-threatening challenges they had to endure.
