Ms. Shaw taught kindergarten in Buffalo public schools for several decades. Songs include: A Lullabye; Cowbells; Clock Song; Where do Sparrows go?; Little Sparrows; Snowflakes; The Bells; The Snowman; The Postman; The Rain; The Ducks; Baby Chickens; The Robin; The Piper?s song; The Blue Bird; The Woodpecker; Robin Redbreast; In the Meadow; Away, My Pony, Away! The songs were arranged for piano by Harry Cumpson. Harry Cumpson was a well known, Buffalo-born pianist, who had studied in Paris, Berlin and New York City. In 1918, Cumpson was appointed the first lecturer in music at SUNY at Buffalo. Charming ink illustrations by Julia Daniels. A New York public school stamp is on inside of front cover. Otherwise pages are lightly aged but unmarked.
