Contemporary full calf leather binding but with spine leather perished leaving quires exposed lengthwise; front and rear boards very tenuously attached with some surface peeling to leather and worn edges. Toning and foxing throughout. Text block binding remains firm. Sold as is and needs to be re-backed if not re-cased. Preface (pages iii-v) and brief intro (pages vii-viii) in English; majority of interior text in Latin with opening arguments (i.e. commentaries) and footnotes in English and some scattered Greek. Hard cover. Condition: Fair. No jacket. For Latin readers. Cover is worn and rubbed on the top edge and outer edge with the back cover corner being bumped, creased and chipped. The front and back hinges are worn with the top edge of the spine being chipped. Binding is tight. Ink inscriptions from previous owners on the front and back inside covers with pages throughout the book being foxed and creased, otherwise pages are legible and attached to binding.
