Add to basketUnbound. Condition: Near Fine. One page Autograph Letter Signed and dated 11 October 1888 on stationary of the Woonsockett Times, which Kanouse was co-owner of. Two punch-holes in upper margins, else about fine. Kanouse corresponds with Jones about Lodge activity, presumably Masonic in nature, although possibly related to a temp…erance lodge. Kanouse, a Civil War veteran, ran for governor of both South Dakota and later California on the Temperance Party Ticket. The town of Woonsocket was incorporated the same year as this letter; South Dakota became a state the following year.
