Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition First Printing. The self-proclaimed creator of the "big-eyed kids" paintings so famous in the 1950s-1960s (though they were later revealed to have been painted by his wife, Margaret), spins his story here, ironically thanking "the women" in his life for his success. In 261 pages with 8 pages of full-color plates in center, numerous other black-and-white reproductions of paintings throughout text (32 in all). A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1983, published in Keane's then-home of La Jolla, CA, & SIGNED there by the AUTHOR (where we obtained this book) with a personalized note to "Dick" on pen to title page. Trade paperback is in VG condition: completely clean & bright & unmarked inside, with slight darkening to exterior edges of both covers, light shelf soil to lower edges, foxing to top of text block & one spot to fore edge. Light creasing to upper edge of front cover. Binding strong & straight, mild bumping/curling to corners. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, Weekends & holidays ship very next business day. Inscribed by Author(s).
