Wer sich schon mal mit Mentaltraining beschäftigt hat, weiß vielleichtallein durch das Vorstellen von Streckenverläufen und anspruchsvollen Situationen können sinnvolle Reaktionen vorab eingeübt werden und dabei kann man sogar die dazugehörigen Muskelkontraktionen messen. Und genau hier liegt der unschätzbare Vorteil bei diesem Buch. Keith Code beschreibt sehr detailliert und somit nachvollziehbar sieben mögliche "Schutz"reaktionen, die zwar menschlich aber eben nicht nützlich sind für Gefahrensituationen. So offen und ausführlich wird kaum ein Bikerkollege seine eigenen Erfahrung austauschen (können). In den folgenden Kapiteln gehts dann um den Fahrereinfluß, richtiges Gasgeben, Fehler beim Lenken und ums richtige Sehen/Blickfeld. Ich wußte zumindest vorher noch nicht, wie sich eine angespannte Sitzposition auf Federung und Traktion in Schräglage auswirkt oder wie ich mit einem Weitwinkelblick Fahrfehlern vorbeugen kann.
