Condition: Very Good. First Edition. VG : in very good condition without dust jacket. Cover rubbed with wear to corners and spine ends. Occasional light marking within. Previous owner's inscription and ink marking to fep. 260mm x 210mm (10" x 8"). 28pp. Full page colour illustrations and duotones in text. Hardback: Illustrated board covers with red cloth spine.

Large 4to hardback; no dustwrapper; cloth spine; unable to identify the year of printing as the title page is missing, with the publishing details on; illustrated endpapers; gift inscription (not author's) dated 1953) ; beautiful colour illustrations - the quality of the printing is terrific - similar to the Pookie books! - making the pictures look tremendous. Unfortunately the pages of text have suffered - page 14/15 is detached, and some pages (this one in particular) are chipped at the edges ; however this is still a lovely book; the book is priced to reflect the faults; ; 4to 11" - 13" tall.

A large illustration appears above a quatrain describing some feline activity of a particularly human kind. Internally pages are separating from spine.
