Used 12mo (7-3/4" tall x 5-1/2") hardcover, 354 pages + ad, frontispiece + 7 b&w illustrations by the Kinneys . Red cloth boards & binding w/ embossed gold lettering. Lightly rubbed boards have small white soiling spots, lightly bumped corners and minim…al edge wear including exposed corner tips. Spine, including lettering, is sun faded. Very small hinge cracks before the fly title page and the rear paste-down. Front end papers have small areas of water staining w/ following pages having light water wrinkling in the upper margin that does not affect the readability of the text. Fly title page has has small amount of soiling. Remaining contents lightly age-tanned but unmarked and firmly attached. Early novel by the author of "The Sowers" which was filmed in 1916 w/ Blanche Sweet.
