All books have a previous owner's name and place on fep in pen. All books have slight foxing top page edges and Volume II has small dark spot/foreign material on front pastedown and matching spot on the fep. All boards are burgundy in color with gold lettering on spine and all boards and some color loss that is difficult to see in the scans. This is the 10 volume set Sahib Edition of Kipling's Works. The tenth volume has an index for all ten volumes. These editions have the Hindu symbol, which represent divinity and spirituality, on the spines as well as the title page. This symbol is different from the swastika used by the German Nazis. The ancient Hindu symbol is presented as a type of cross where the arms are of equal length and perpendicular to one another and each arm is bent at a ninety degree angle. These volumes contain dozens and dozens of both prose, poetry and ballards and will make a lovely addition to any collectors shelves.
