I have had it since our shop in Charleston, time to let it go. Binding tight, corners and edges faintest of rub. Front hinge has a 3/4 inch paper break but holding normally. Text completely unmarked. Occasional small faint rubbed areas on back cover. There was never spine lettering on this copy. Title in black on front very good. Nice! No jacket, but I have never seen one, so I don't know if it had one. Shelf brown box.

One of Von Kolnitz Hyer's children's books, the story of a young boy named Allen and the Speed Imp, who have a variety of adventures in the Shady Woods. Illustrated by R. Bruce Horsfall. Illustrated frontispiece and thirteen more full page illustrations through the book. 5-1/4" X 7-5/8", 128 pages. This copy is a library discard copy. Dark green cloth covered boards, illustrated cover, title and author name on the front panel and spine in black. Cover boards have edge wear, frying to the head and heel of the spine, tips of the corners are worn and exposed. Some residue of a library label on the front cover and spine. There are some faded dots of stains on the back panel. Library ink stamp on the first flyleaf. Library ink stamp on the last flyleaf page and back padtedown, due date sheet attached to the last flyleaf page, due date pocket attached to the back pastedown. Age tanning on the first flyleaf, and scattered foxing and tanning spots throughout the book. Binding is intact if slightly loose, all text pages are intact. A very scarce title. No writing on the text pages besides the library marks. Attached are some photos of the copy we have in our inventory.
