Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Quarto 27.5x19.5 cm, wrappers, 11pp, Cover and illustrations by Vladimir Konasevich. Konasevich (1868-1963) was a highly esteemed artist for his work as a painter and illustrator He studied with Leonid Pasternak, Korovin, and Maliutin, and was a participant in Mir iskusstva. He specialized in children's books and was a frequent collaborator with Marshak. Mikhail Froman (1891-1940) was a poet and prosaist. He began his career writing children's books, and this is his first. Rare, with no institutional holdings found worldwide.
