hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Prima edizione italiana. Collana "I libri dell'ignoto", 9 - Volume in copertina rigida con sovraccoperta, 472 pagine con alcune figure in nero fuori testo. Indice integrale consultabile nelle nostre immagini. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First edition, first printing of this groundbreaking work on Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP). Konstantin Raudive started researching EVP after reading Friedrich Jürgenson's book, Voices from Space, and spent much of the last ten years of his life exploring EVP. With the help of various electronics experts, he recorded over 100,000 audiotapes, most of which were made under what he described as "strict laboratory conditions." He collaborated at times with Bender. Over 400 people were involved in his research, and all apparently heard the voices. This culminated in the 1968 publication of Unhörbares wird hörbar ("What is inaudible becomes audible"), which was followed in 1971 by this, a slightly expanded and retitled version in English. Translated by Nadia Fowler, edited by Joyce Morton and with a preface by Peter Bander. Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire: Colin Smythe Limited, 1971. Publisher's original black cloth boards; pp. xxxi, [1], 391. In very good condition, lacking the dust jacket. Binding sturdy, minor shelfwear to boards. Phone number written to rear pastedown, else internally clean.
