The Krelage nursery was founded by grandfather E.H. Krelage (1786-1855) in Haarlem in 1811. The nursery was well known nati…onal and international for their flower bulbs, lilies and dahlia's. They gained more than 800 medals at world exhibitions and horticultural shows and delivered at many royal courts. Among the many new hybrids they've cultivated are the famous Darwin tulips. The Krelage collection was started in the middle of the nineteenth century by nurseryman Jacob Heinrich Krelage (1824-1901) at Haarlem and continued by his son Dr. Ernst Heinrich Krelage (1869-1956). - In this publication are 5 numbered plates, the chromolithographie is not present. - Frontdeckel mit Nachlaßstempel Prof. Körnicke, innen etwas gebräunt. With reprint of the original pamphlets during the tulip mania time 1636-1637.[NL] Verzameling en herdruk van talrijke pamfletten die tijdens de beroemde tulpenmanie speculatie in de Republiek (de "tulpenwindhandel") werden uitgegeven rond 1636-1637.De pamflet…ten verschenen in drukvorm, vaak kort, polemisch, satirisch of beschouwend en dreven de spot met de tulpenhandel en de speculanten die mee deden aan de windhandel (de handel in tulpencontracten zonder dat de bollen gezien waren). Ze leverden kritiek op de hebzucht en irrationeel gedrag tijdens de handelsgolf.Soms werden ze geschreven als dialoog of satire tussen personages, bijvoorbeeld zamenspraeken tusschen Waermondt ende Gaergoedt, waarin Waermondt de waarheid spreekt en Gaergoedt als ex-speculant berouw toont.Mooi overzicht van deze primaire bronnen uit het jaar van de tulpenmanie, speculatieve handel in tulpencontracten rond 1636 waarbij kopers en verkopers futures-achtige overeenkomsten sloten. Die handel eindigde abrupt toen de markt instortte in februari 1637.Volledig linnen band met goudopdruk, schutbladen licht gebruind verder in goede conditie. Geillustreerd met herdruk van enkele pamfletten, sommige uitvouwbaar.
