In 1956, he designed his first fairy tale pop-up book: Little Red Riding Hood. Coloured illustrated paper over card. Externally, smart with some shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd handling mark and some ink marks. Scene one, which reverses to the front board, has lost the handle for the moveable element and has a few small creases to the pop-out. Scene two has a small closed tear to the toadstool. Scene three has a small closed tear to moveable part, this does not disrupt its use. Scene six has lost part of a character. Scene eight has one small closed tear and crease to a fold resulting in one character not standing. All remaining pop-up scenes with additional movable elements are in excellent working order.
