Prof. Singh is the life member of as many as eight professional bodies namely ISC, IAS, IAA, INCAA, SIMA, ISHE, ASM and MLSM. He was the immediate Past Sectional President of Anthropological and Behavioural Sciences Section of 106th Indian Science Congress Held at LPU, Jalandhar, 2019 Sarit K. Chaudhuri, professor of anthropology, has worked among tribes of North-East India during last 25 years. During 20032005 he was in SOAS, United Kingdom, as a postdoctoral fellow and worked for a collaborative project with SOAS, British Museum, CCRD, and Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh.
