Published by International News Photos, New York, 1946
Vintage oversize borderless photograph of actor Bert Lahr with producer Mike Todd and other producers, circa 1946. With the stamp of International News Photos to the verso. The group was likely in talks for a planned musical revue produced by Todd and set to star Lahr, called "Face and Body," which ultimately never came to fruition. Over the course of his short career in show business, Todd worked as a producer for theatre and film, most notably producing the 1956 Academy Award-winning film "Around the World in 80 Days." He is perhaps best remembered now as Elizabeth Taylor's third husband, the only one whom she did not divorce (Todd died in a plane accident a year after their marriage). 14 x 11 inches. Very Good plus, with a few short closed tears to the left edge, and a small bruise to the bottom right corner.
