Canadian-born American operatic singer who toured the U.S. extensively. IPS [Daguerre], 8" X 10", n.p., 1924 n.d. Near fine. Marvelous sepia-tone full-length pose of a seated Lamont in operatic costume (seemingly a Wagnerian role), inscribed and signed in black ink enormously across the lower portion "To John Leiser with all / good wishes and best / regards / Very Sincerely / Forrest Lamont. / 1924." Leiser was a well-known Chicago pianist and music instructor. A superb example.
