Promotional advertising in stiff boards with chromolithographic views of six hotels in New York State. Very good condition, boards are creased at outside corner. 28 pp., with 4 views bound in. The other 2 views are on the boards. The views show 1) Long Beach Hotel, Long Island 2) Thousand Island House, Alexandra Bay 3) Palisades Mountain House 4) Congress Hall, Saratoga Springs 5) Prospect House, Blue Mountain Lake 6) Murray Hill Hotel, New York. There are also a couple of pages of text promoting these sites and ads for other businesses.
Sin Encuadernar. Condition: Excelente. Large watercolour with touches of Guash in its original gilded frame.80x54 cms(frame included) showing a group of people in left side dressed in different manners(militar,fishermen,women etc). Several galleys are crossing the bay with Maltese flags so that most probably it was painted before 1800(date of British conquest).Fort Manuel was rebuilt in late 1780 so this view belongs to this period.The technic and clear design makes it of very fine quality. There are very few examples of this topographical watercolours.We have traced a collection of six views at the Palazzo Falson collection (Mdina,Malta.

This other watercolour twin in technique size and frame with the other one we offer,shows a general view of Valetta with galleys on the sea and a very fine overview of buildings and city of Valetta profile.Some fishermen in the foreground. The view was painted from Vittoriosa nowadays Birgu, one of the three cities in front of Valetta. watercolours of this quality are only present in the main collections either institutional or private in Malta like the Palazzo Falson at Mdina.
