Some moulting to the cloth covering the spine, and a small hole in spine on the back side. Gilt lettering on front cover is bright, a bit darker on the spine. Signed and inscribed by the author to the previous owner," Presented to Mrs. Lula Hitch Chapmore by the author Mrs. J. L. Walker 1939". Binding is very firm, hinges and gutters are whole and good, pages are a higher quality slick paper. The first five or six pages have light foxing, after that there's no foxing. 547pp., with several intentional blank pages for notes, lots of maps, lots of illustrations, information about civic and church organizations. Church cemetery records, list of Confederate graves. Prominent families from very early listed, with a short bio. A chapter on the Negroes of Ware County. This volume covers a lot of ground and appears well researched. Scarce. Its packed in an acid free document bag for storage, boxed and ready to travel. I can have it in the mail tomorrow. BRBC.
