Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. ("Edward Arnold") in black fountain pen ink on ornately-printed membership certificate for Bill Lear in the Masquers Club, Hollywood, September 8, 1943. Signed by actor Edward Arnold and actor/director Lloyd Corrigan. 10 1/8" x 8 1/4"; 1 page (recto only); very good, fresh. Certificate # 1423. Together with an original printed program, featuring Disney characters, for The Masquers 28th weekly function in honor of Officers, Men and Waves, listing Lear as the host for that occasion. The Masquers was a fraternal organization, to which many noted personalities of the day belonged; the clubhouse was located at 1875 N. Sycamore Ave., in Hollywood. Lear (1902-1978), born June 6, 1902, Hannibal, Missouri; died May 14, 1978, Reno, Nevada; American Engineer, Manufacturer; Aviation pioneer; President Lear Jet Corporation 1963-1967; Chairman 1967-1969.
