Hardcover. Condition: Good. Hardbound in coral cloth with a large stain at the base of the spine, extending outwards and downwards on front and back boards; it does not extend inside the book. Jacket is present, mirroring the stain and with loss of material at base of spine and at head. It is otherwise intact is protected by a new, clear mylar wrapper. 344 pp. including appendices and an index. Illustrated with black and white photographs. Owner Tony Brand has included an extensive review of the book in minute pencil on the front pastedown and there are sparse pencil notations throughout, mostly to identify persons in photographs. It appears that he found this book âwanting,â although Bob Archibald wrote, in La Busca, Vol. XXXVI, Issues 11 & 12, 1990), âThis is an impressively large book, described as a âdefinitive encyclopedic study of all the basic action of a bullfight.â The author having seen 4,000 toros killed in the ring, as well as doing extensive research of taurine literature, has produced a remarkable taurine manual.â English language text. 4to.
