    Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. Cream paper on stiff card covers, with gilt lettering to spine and front. Fraying to top and bottom of spine and creasing to outer corners of covers. The pages are loosening from the spine with some pages and plates detached. The outer edges of some of the pages and lightly creased and dusty. There are small traces of old 'sellotape' on the edges of each plate where a former owner had stuck English translations of the plate titles, which have been removed. The marks do not interfere with the illustrations. Some light water staining to the latter pages of text. OTHERWISE ALL PAGES AND PLATES ARE PRESENT AND IN GOOD ORDER. Many coloured plates. A limited edition, number 611 of 775 copies. A scarce and magnificent collection of plates featuring the history of ladies underwear through the 12th to 20 centuries. This is a very heavy item will incur extra carriage charges for non UK customers.

    Softcover. First Edition. Ltd ed. 307/775 (of 800 copies in total) on velin d'Arches. Includes 18 separate full sized prints, some in colour, loosely inserted, which provide examples of the use of the corset. 36 full page illustrations 'hors texte', also numerous fine illustrations within the text. At the rear of the book are 40 full page plates, some in full colour, all with a protective sheet. Gilt lettering to front cover. The pages and illustrations are bright and clean throughout, the rear cover has one very faint stain to the top cop corner, 1cm split to upper joint, very discreet. Housed in grey faux alligator slipcase which is rubbed and worn at extremities. A clean fresh copy, near fine book with prints in vg slipcase.
