Embossed illustrated Hardcover. Cover and spine rubbed and slightly stained. Cover corners and spine edges peeling/tattered and slightly bumped. Cover edges and spine hinges somewhat bumped. Endpapers yellowing/age-stained. Binding slightly coming loose and visible between rear inner cover and whitepage. Pages yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare Jewish poetry book, exquisitely illustrated by the preeminent Jewish graphic artist, is overall in good condition. The book is in : German.

A signed, 1918 dedication in fountain pen by one of the translators, who translated this work into the present English version from the Yiddish. Fraying at the very top and bottom of outer spine strip. Frontispiece by the Jewish illustrator Ephraim Moses Lilien (1874-1925), an early active Zionist. His name "Lilien" appears inside a small box located at the lower left corner of the picture.
