Hard cover. Condition: Very good in good dust jacket. First edition. 1st edition, review copy with a typed signed letter from Macmillan Company dated November 25, 1958, not price clipped no markings, jacket has some light edge wear and the spine is a little faded. nice copy.

The inscription is signed with the author's first name only. Below it is, "April 2, 1966 -Arpins Night." Laid-in is a note to Gerald Arpins, signed by the author (first name), speaking of his success. The boards' front corners have a little color loss from shelf wear rubbing. The bottom end of the text block has a 1/8 in. stain. The bottom end of the back pastedown has a 1 in., faint stain. The frontispiece has a crease line on a bottom corner. The DJ is clear plastic without any printing. It has five chips, 1/8 in. to a linear 7/8 in. Four closed tears are 3/8 in. to an L-shaped, 1 1/4 in. Shelf wear rubbing has caused sheen loss.
