Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - This open access book presents the steps necessary for the application of rotorcraft flight modelling and simulation and analysis in support of certification for compliance with EASA CS-27 and CS-29, SUBPART B-FLIGHT and other flight-related rules (e.g. CS-27/9, Appendix B, Airworthiness Criteria for Helicopter Instrument Flight). The material is presented in the form of a structured 'Rotorcraft Certification by Simulation' process, starting from the relevant paragraphs in the Certification Specifications, through a comprehensive description of the assembly of flight simulation requirements, informed by judgements on Influence, Predictability and Credibility, and on into the detailed building of the three major elements of the process; the Flight Simulation Model, the Flight Simulator, and the associated Flight Test Measurement System. The latter feeds both the flight model and simulator development with real-world test data to support validation and fidelity assessment. The book is intended to provide support to early adopters of simulation and analysis in the certification process, including those who have considerable experience and expertise in the use of Modelling and Simulation in support of design and development. It is acknowledged that there exists much good practice in the rotorcraft industry in this regard. However, what is presented herein is considered a significant step forward in the development of this practice, particularly in terms of the importance of a structured, requirements-based, process using adaptable-fidelity, descriptive and predictive simulation tools, and associated pre-certification flight testing, to reach the goal of a credible flight simulation.

Condition: Sehr gut. Zustand: Sehr gut | Seiten: 352 | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | This book focuses on the theory of the Zakharov system in the context of plasma physics. It has been over 40 years since the system was first derived by V. E. Zakharov ¿ and in the course of those decades, many innovative achievements with major impacts on other research fields have been made. The book represents a first attempt to highlight the mathematical theories that are most important to researchers, including the existence and unique problems, blow-up, low regularity, large time behavior and the singular limit. Rather than attempting to examine every aspect of the Zakharov system in detail, it provides an effective road map to help readers access the frontier of studies on this system.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Following extensive development over the past two decades, techniques of inverse simulation have led to a range of successful applications. However, the available methods still have some well-known limitations. Two new methods are developed to overcome these issues. The first one, based on sensitivity-analysis theory, allows the Jacobian matrix to be calculated by solving a sensitivity equation. The second one, based on a constrained Nelder-Mead search-based optimisation algorithm, is completely derivative-free algorithm for inverse simulation This thesis also offers new insight into the relationship between mathematically based techniques of model inversion and the inverse simulation approach. The similarities and shortcomings of both these methodologies are explored. The analysis of results for these practical applications shows that the approaches developed and presented in this thesis are of practical importance. It is believed that these developments form a useful step in moving inverse simulation methods from the status of an academic research topic to a practical and robust set of tools for engineering system design. 236 pp. Englisch.
