These cover Paris 1935 (nos 1-2), Amman 1935 reprinted c1974 (n3), Paris 1938 (n4), Riyadh 1941 (n5), Jeddah c1946 (n6), US 1947 (n7-15), his aluminium hunting lodge 1953 (n16), and file portraits 1953 or earlier (n17-18). Re…flecting general ignorance of the new Saudi state before oil, two of the earliest misidentify him as "Ibn Sehoul" or "Emir Ibn Seoud, King of Arabia". Photogravure VG with small chip to the edge (not touching image), press photos good to very good with captions and ink stamps, occasional edit marks, hard creasing and closed tears. In date order: (1) "Photo 'Intransigeant': Paris - Le prince Seoud recu a l'Elysee lors de son passage a Paris", 1 Jun 1935. Photogravure (Procede Ferniot) 180x130mm. One of a series produced in 1935. Saud before the Elysee Palace with Plenipotentiary Minister of Morocco and first Rector of the Great Mosque in Paris Si Kaddour Ben Ghabit who acted as interpreter, and homme du monde / des lettres Andre de Fouquieres with other French figures. No others located (Getty has the same scene from different angles (Nos 56210748, 104405930)) // (2) "La Fete Aerienne de Nuit a Villacoublay", 2 Jun 1935. Saud seated with French President Albert Le Brun, Aviation Minister General Victor Denain, and Paris Municipality President Georges Contenot for an airshow outside Paris // (3) "Emir Saud's visit to Emir Abdullah in Amman: Aug. 17, 1935 - Group in front of reception tent, Emir Saud and Abdullah with British representative etc, Encyclopaedia Judaica Illust. FONDATEUR : Paul Lévy (1886-1959) - Journaliste et patron de presse.Avant la Première Guerre mondiale, il fut journaliste et polémiste à L'Aurore de Georges Clemenceau, au Journal et à L'Intransigeant. Fonda en 1918 l'hebdomadaire Aux Écoutes, qui lui survécut jusqu'en 1969. Cet hebdomadaire était anti-allemand et fermement opposé à la politique pacifiste d'Aristide Briand.En 1933, son journal fit même campagne pour une guerre préventive contre l'Allemagne que venait de conquérir Hitler.Dirigea également le quotidien anti-allemand Le Rempart.Interdit de gestion par le statut des Juifs du Régime de Vichy, il cède la direction de son journal à un ami proche, l'écrivain nationaliste Maurice Blanchot, et se cache avec sa femme dans le Sud de la France.Paul Lévy a été l'un des rares à ouvrir les colonnes de son journal après la Seconde Guerre mondiale à l'écrivain antisémite Louis-Ferdinand Céline, longtemps en fuite à l'étranger avant de revenir en France, avec lequel il entretenait une lo
