Hardcover. Condition: Good. William Gropper (illustrator). 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover in unclipped dust jacket that still has the original price of $3.00 on the front flap. Inscribed and signed (in Yiddish) by the author on the front end page. DJ shows spotting and soiling along with chips and tears, the largest being at the top rear edge. Is also a small pen mark on the front of the jacket, just above the needle. Light brown cloth boards underneath show some spotting and the top edge of the front board is bumped to where there is a slight indentation near the upper left corner area. The internal binding of the text portion of the book is good but there is one small spot at the front hinge where it is starting to cracked near the top. This area of concern is only about an inch in length. Both the front and rear pastedowns and end pages show foxing spots with darkening in the gutter areas. In addition to the authors inscription on the front page there are also three small circles "ooo" written in red pen along the top edge. No other markings found in the book. We also found a homemade business card, which is basically a photocopy that was cut to business card size, advertising the Sam Liptzin Book Comm., Located on Barker Avenue in the Bronx. This was placed in a glassine envelope and will stay with the book. Signed by Author(s).
