Incisione in rame all'acquaforte realizzata su due lastre di rame per l'atlante marino di Pieter Mortier del 1693, incisa da Henry Van Loon e qui pubblicata intorno al 1770 da Jacques - Nicolas Bellin per il "Dépôt des Cartes et Plans de la Marine", come testimoniat…o dal marchio dell'ancora decorato da tre gigli e dal prezzo di Trente Sols ("questa mappa era disponibile alla fine del XVIII secolo per "Trente Sols"), cm 61,5 x 86,5 (alla lastra) più margini. Bella carta nautica dell'intero Mare del Nord, del Mare di Danimarca e delle coste adiacenti, comprende le isole Schetland e le Orcadi. La carta è orientata con il nord a sinistra e dispone di due belle e insolite rose dei venti, una delle quali incorpora il simbolo del sole di Luigi XIV. La topografia è limitata ai luoghi lungo la costa e mostra i fondali e le secche (barene punteggiate) nel mare, nonché le varie insenature di marea. Nell'entroterra, i confini politici tra i diversi paesi e regioni sono indicati da punti. Belli i dettagli delle distese fangose della Frisia settentrionale, orientale e occidentale; delle sabbie della Manica e della foce del Tamigi. Le linee della bussola corrono su tutta la mappa. Le scale in miglia tedesche, inglesi e francesi sono spiegate nel bordo in basso. Minimi difetti marginali, su carta forte, in ottimo stato di conservazione. .
