Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Dust Jacket. Likely First Edition, dated 1889 on the title page with no additional printings listed. Cloth binding with pictorial spine and cover illustration. Shelf wear with chipping at spine ends and corners, remains Good. The contents include two fold out maps of the Alps region: political and…geologic (in color). There are some spots, smudging and chipping to text and several paper glued spots on rear pastedown. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. The Mercantile Library stamp and number are on the title page and some of the internal pages. There are no external indications of the library's ownership. International shipping may require added postage charges.
