Czech-language trade literature for "Norit" a proprietary activated carbon used in the sugar beet industry to whiten refined granulated sugar and remove contaminants. Half tone illustrations show factories and heavy machinery; diagrams explain various industrial processes such as filtering and drying. The Norit process used vegetable-based decolorizing carbon, replacing bone char in sugar refining.
