Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. This old book is clean, solid and in great shape! This is a larger style hardcover book with 122 pages including many detailed illustrations, some in color. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The prior owner wrote their name and date on the first end paper and the end papers show some foxing. The pages are otherwise clean with no tears. The copyright page shows 1935 as the published date. This is definitely Not a former library book. The green covers have a bright red and gold spine label. The covers show just a hint of edgewear and very light soiling. This old book looks and feels great! We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!

After the war Luard's interests broadened to include landscapes and seascapes. He moved to London in 1934 and became a regular visitor to the racecourse and stables at Newmarket, where he would often paint scenes of thoroughbred racehorses training on the gallops.[2] In 1936 Faber and Faber published his book The Horse: Its Action and Anatomy, the first study of the skeleton, muscles and physiognomy of the horse since George Stubbs' treatise, The Anatomy of the Horse.
