In den Jahren 1876 bis 1888 war er in regem Briefwechsel mit F. W. Jähns in Berlin über Weber-Themen; in der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin sind 142 Briefe Musiols an Jähns und 148 Briefe von Jähns an Musiol überliefert.
