The front cover is lightly foxed with a few small stains. There is some discoloration & minor soiling to the rear cover with a crease to its top corner. 63 pages. Black-and-white illustrations, including facsimiles. Very good. "The University of Waterloo.has one of the largest and best engineering schools in Canada.An educational foundation was established in 1977 to promote cooperative education and to develop new modes of interaction between industry and universities to further improve engineering education.". The foundation was named after Sandford Fleming, described in Legget's lecture as "a statesman engineer" and "truly one of the real builders of Canada". For a few years Fleming was simultaneously the Chief Engineer of the Intercolonial Railway from Halifax to Montreal, the Newfoundland Railway and the Canadian Pacific Railway.
