Theodore F. MacManus, a Catholic Detroit businessman and philanthropist goes on a diatribe against Judge John Milton Killitts, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Ohio and a Methodist for anti-Catholic comments made in a Detroit News interview (not present). "I can tell you now, Judge, that I was informed at that time that you were something more (or less) than a Methodist- that you were a narrow and biased Methodist. No, you cannot hurt us.But you can, and you will, hurt yourselves by filling your hearts with hatred and malice.Or do you prefer to pretend that it is.what other Catholics did, or said to have done." MacManus also takes the judge to task for dislike of evangelist Billy Sunday. And to try to have "a little of the spirit of mutual trust and good will that (Mayor) Brand Whitlock brought to Toledo". Extremely SCARCE.
