"The present Volume VIII, dealing with the period from 1707 to 1818, completes the scheme, initiated in 1944, of writing the history and culture of the Indian people from the earliest time." Sound binding, contents unmarked. The gold dustjacket with red printing has light edge chipping, protected by a mylar cover.
