This Edwardian detective story was first published in 1904 and re-issued in 1914 at 7d. Light blue boards with fleur-de-lys embossing to borders of front cover, bright gilt lettering to spine . 247 pages plus 8pp publisher's catalogue at rear. Fair dustwrapper with loss of 2.5 cm at the bease of the spine. Scuffing to the dw spine and minor splits and chips around the edges. (see images). Internally the book is very clean with no foxing and just a little creasing in places. Owner's name and date in ink to front pastedown.
