"Sales/posting to the USA suspended". Stapled card covers, quarto, colour photos and profiles, foldout b&w 1/48 scale plans. A little wear to card covers, previous owner's details stamp top centre of title page; a very good copy. Gives background to the RAF decision to purchase the Phantom F-4M as an interim strike/ground attack/reconnaissance option, following the cancellation of the BAC TSR Mk.2 project and the procurement of the F-111K not being effected.- also necessitated as the introduction of the Harrier and Jaguar was some time off. They became operational with the RAF in 1968 and were deployed to Germany in 1974. Fairly scarce.
